Dozens of Palestinian supporters demonstrated Friday in front of Parliament in Rabat against normalization with Israel, according to AFP correspondents, after the Jewish state summoned its ambassador to Morocco as part of an investigation into it. According to Israeli media, Guvrin faces charges of exploiting local women, sexual harassment and crimes against decency. The investigation also focuses on a series of alleged embezzlement, especially the disappearance of a gift sent by the King of Morocco on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel, and it was not handed over to the government as usual. Govrin, 59, was ambassador to Egypt from 2016 to August 2019, and was appointed head of the mission of the Israeli Liaison Office in Rabat in early 2021, before he was officially appointed as Israel's ambassador to Morocco. This week, the Israeli Foreign Ministry did not want to make any comment about the investigation to AFP.
