Kuwait: Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Sabah appointed as the country's prime minister

Today, Wednesday, the Kuwait News Agency reported the issuance of an Emiri order appointing Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as prime minister.

According to the decision, the Prime Minister is tasked with nominating the names of the members of the government, and presenting them to the Emir of the country until a decision is issued for their appointment.
 
In another context, the State of Kuwait renewed its firm position on rejecting all forms of terrorism and violent extremism, affirming its full support for international and regional efforts to combat and stop global terrorist threats.
Kuwaiti diplomatic attache Fahd Al-Obeid said - in his country's speech during the discussion of the Sixth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly on the item (measures aimed at eliminating international terrorism), and according to the Kuwait News Agency today, Wednesday, that "terrorism still poses a grave danger in many parts of the world threatening peace." and international security.”

He added, "Terrorism should not be linked to any religion, nationality, civilization or ethnic group," stressing that combating it calls for mobilizing international, regional and national efforts to confront this criminal scourge by taking measures to ensure respect for human rights and the rule of law and to prevent impunity.
