Algeria and France sign 11 cooperation agreements in different countrie

Algerian Prime Minister Ayman Ben Abdelrahman announced, on Sunday evening, the signing of 11 cooperation agreements with France, covering various fields.

This came in statements to reporters after the conclusion of the work of the fifth session of the joint ministerial committee between the two countries, in Algiers.

The session was attended by the French Prime Minister, Elizabeth Born, who arrived in Algeria earlier on Sunday, accompanied by 16 ministers from her government, for a two-day visit.

"Our session allowed the high-level government committee to sign 11 texts of agreement, especially in the fields of industry and technology, emerging institutions and innovation, agriculture, higher education and scientific research, labor and employment, tourism and handicrafts," Abdul Rahman said.

He added, "We will work in the coming period to translate its outputs on the ground, in implementation of the directives of the presidents of the two countries."

And he added, "The organization of this session comes in the context of the distinguished movement that characterizes bilateral relations, especially after the visit of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, to Algeria, last August, at the invitation of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune."

For her part, French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne confirmed in a tweet on "Twitter" at dawn on Sunday, that they are continuing to build a partnership for the future and a common ambition for the two countries.
