Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
Today, the Arab Peace Group sent an appeal to the Arab summit held in Algeria. The text of which follows:
Respected Arab kings and presidents
The 31st Arab Summit - Algeria
Greetings and respect
Allow us, on behalf of the Arab Peace Group, which emerged four years ago and held its founding conference at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo, to greet you and warmly welcome the initiative to hold the Arab summit, which was called the “Reunification Summit.”
This summit comes after the Palestinian factions reached a reconciliation agreement and the issuance of the Algiers Declaration, which is an appropriate opportunity to strengthen Arab solidarity in a way that benefits all Arab countries and contributes to supporting the central Arab cause, Palestine, especially that what the Palestinian Arab people are exposed to today is considered a waste. A flagrant violation of international laws and norms that affirm his just and legitimate rights, foremost of which is his right to self-determination and the building of his independent national state and on his homeland.
As much as we aspire in the Arab Peace Group to promote joint Arab action for the common interests and mutual benefits of the entire Arab nation, we are fully prepared to join our efforts, energies and experiences to any sincere Arab effort that leads to ending the hotbeds of tension and opens the way for a meaningful and constructive dialogue to settle differences and resolve disputes By peaceful means, which is what the Arab summit can put in its priorities, with the decisions and recommendations it takes in this regard, and in cooperation with the League of Arab States, with the aim of achieving Arab-Arab reconciliation and at the level of every Arab country.
As you know, the exceptional situation in Syria, Yemen, Libya, Lebanon and Sudan requires exceptional treatments in order to preserve human dignity and rights, preserve the unity and sovereignty of nations, and achieve development, especially by putting an end to the activities of terrorist groups and all forces that harbor evil for our Arab nation.
We are confident that a united and sincere Arab effort, if directed in this right direction, will surely result in tightening the screws on the forces of fanaticism, extremism, violence and terrorism and defeating them, purifying the Arab atmosphere and creating the appropriate conditions for the protection of peace in every Arab country in a way that enhances Arab national security and increases the The values of freedom, justice, equality and non-interference in internal affairs and consolidate the emotional ties embodied by Arabism with its language, history and common destiny.
We stretch out your hands and accept our utmost respect.
Ali Nasser Mohammed
President of the Arab Peace Group
Engineer Samir Habashneh
