Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, arrived in Algeria to head his country's delegation to the 31st Arab Summit, on behalf of Jordan's King Abdullah II.
The Crown Prince will deliver Jordan's speech at the session devoted to the speeches of heads of delegations today, Wednesday.
The summit will discuss a number of files on its agenda, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, crises in the Arab region, terrorism and its impact on the region, Arab food security, the energy crisis, and other topics.
For his part, the spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Jamal Rushdie, stressed that the Palestinian issue is at the forefront of the Arab summit in Algeria, as it is the central issue of the Arabs, stressing that the security and stability of the region will not be achieved without a just solution to the Palestinian issue.
Rushdi said, in a statement to the Algerian News Agency (WAJ) today, Tuesday, that the indicators of the 31st Arab Summit achieving its slogan of "Arab reunification" are clear, pointing out that holding the summit after three years of interruption, due to the Corona pandemic, is an important event, Stressing the need for Arab solidarity and protection under the Arab umbrella.
Rushdie explained that one of the main principles of the current summit is to achieve joint Arab action and find Arab solutions to Arab problems, noting that the Arabs know their situation and know their problems, and that the interference of external parties is unacceptable even if it is with good intentions.

On the agenda that will be submitted to the Arab leaders, Rushdie stressed the existence of a large number of listed issues that include all political issues, including the Palestinian issue, which is always present in Arab summits, in addition to issues related to the crises in Libya and Yemen, and others related to the situation in Lebanon.

Rushdie explained that there are social and economic decisions prepared by the Economic and Social Council during its preparatory meeting, including the food security file, as it concerns the Arab citizen in his livelihood and is reflected on him, pointing to the presentation of a strategy before the summit to achieve Arab food security, which will be among its most important outputs.

Rushdie expressed his hope that the Arab summit would enhance Palestinian steadfastness, not only at the political level, but through economic and financial support for the Palestinians, to continue their steadfastness and struggle in light of the deteriorating conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories, the escalating violence and the heroic steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

He stressed that the world is going through a series of international crises and the Arab countries must take real steps to address their crises that have affected the region, pointing to the serious threats arising from the turbulent global situation, such as the threat to food security, which requires collective and integrative action to confront it.
