The semi-official Fars News Agency reported that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards targeted on Monday what it described as "terrorist groups" in the Kurdistan region of Iraq with missile and drone strikes.

The Revolutionary Guards have launched attacks on the bases of the Iranian Kurdish armed opposition in the northern Iraqi region since the killing of the young Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini, on September 16.

At least one person was killed and 10 wounded, on Monday, after rockets hit the headquarters of the Iranian Kurdish party in Koya, near the regional capital, Tariq al-Haidari, the mayor of Koya, said Tariq al-Haidari.
