The Russian Foreign Ministry described the public reaction of a number of NATO countries to the missile incident as "disgraceful", as foreign media published false allegations that Russia was behind the fall of a missile on Poland.
According to the ministry's statement: "We record the disgraceful public reaction to the incident in a number of NATO countries, the media hastened to circulate completely false and unfounded allegations that Russia is behind the fall of the missile on Polish territory, in complete agreement with them, without wanting to understand and clarify the situation.
He added, "We are confident that conducting an impartial investigation and publishing its results will reveal this provocation."
On the evening of November 15, Polish media reported that two missiles landed in Poland near the border with Ukraine, killing two people.
The Polish Foreign Ministry stated that the missile that fell in the country was Russian-made. Polish President Andrzej Duda indicated that Warsaw does not have accurate information about the missiles that fell on the country's territory.
On the morning of November 16, US President Joe Biden called an emergency meeting of the leaders of the Group of Seven and NATO countries, who, like him, participated in the G20 summit in Bali, and announced that preliminary information refutes the fact that the missile that fell in Poland was coming from Russia.
