Iraqi forces announce the killing of 5 ISIS terrorists in Kirkuk

Today, Saturday, the commander of the Iraqi Special Forces Division, Major General Ghaleb Muhammad Kamar, announced the killing of 5 terrorists from "ISIS" gangs in Al-Rashad district, southwest of Kirkuk.
Major General Ghaleb Muhammad Kamar said - in exclusive statements to (Al-Iraqiya News) channel - that "the special forces managed, in coordination with the intelligence service and air force planes, to kill 5 terrorists and seize various weapons and equipment, after destroying their den in Kirkuk."
 
In turn, the spokesman for the Joint Operations Command in Iraq, Major General Tahsin Khafaji, said that many terrorists were killed in separate areas of Kirkuk, stressing the continuation of the pursuit of terrorist organizations in Iraq.
And last Monday, the Iraqi security media said that the Air Force carried out strikes against the terrorists' hideouts in Kirkuk.

The Security Media Cell had announced, before that, the launch of the eighth phase of Operation Solid Will to pursue the terrorist elements of ISIS.
And the cell stated - in a statement reported by the "Alsumaria News" channel - that "with the planning and supervision of the Joint Operations Command and the follow-up and field supervision of the Ground Forces Command, and according to accurate intelligence information and the perpetuation of the momentum of the offensive operations and the intensification of the painful blows to the terrorist organization ISIS, the eighth phase of Operation Solid Will was launched within Boycott the Nineveh operations commands, western Nineveh, and the borders separating them.
 
The statement added that the operation aims to pursue terrorist elements and wanted persons, as well as clearing the lands of the remnants of the terrorist organization ISIS and destroying their hideouts.
