Today, Saturday, the Palestinian government, the Palestinian National Council, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the assassination of three young men by the Israeli occupation in Jenin, in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, extended his condolences to the families of the three martyrs, Yazan Samer Al-Jabari, Izz Al-Din Bassem Hamamra, and Amjad Adnan Khaliliya, who were killed by the occupation bullets at dawn today in the aforementioned governorate. One of the three died of an injury inflicted by the occupation about two weeks ago.
Shtayyeh held the extremist and racist occupation government responsible for these crimes, calling on the world to take a clear position and to provide international protection for the Palestinian people.
For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated that the violations and crimes of the occupation will only increase the Palestinian people's insistence on adhering to their rights.
In a press statement, the Ministry held the Israeli occupation authorities fully and directly responsible for the ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people, their land, homes, properties, and sanctities, which have led since the beginning of this year to the death of 12 citizens, including 3 children, the last of whom were 3 martyrs in Jenin.
The ministry stated that the occupation practices extrajudicial killings, field executions, and firing live bullets at Palestinian citizens, with the aim of killing and degrading the lives of Palestinian citizens, with instructions from the political and military echelons of the occupying state.
The ministry called on the international community and the US administration to exert real pressure on the occupying state to stop its bloody escalation against the Palestinian people, and called on the International Criminal Court to quickly complete its investigations, in order to hold the occupying state and the perpetrators accountable.
The ministry indicated that the increase in these crimes indicates that the current year will be worse than the previous year, which was considered bloodier than previous years.
For his part, the President of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, condemned the assassination that took place in Jenin Governorate, stressing the determination of the Palestinian people to continue the struggle and steadfastness, and to confront all projects that target the Palestinian presence and its national cause.
Fattouh said, in a press statement, that the pace of fascist terrorism in Israel is escalating through the execution and murder policies practiced by the new extremist government.
He added that the fascist occupation is trying, through its bloody terror, daily executions, continuous aggression on the Palestinian territories, and public threats against Palestinian prisoners, to export its internal crises and cover them up.
It is noteworthy that the two martyrs, Izz al-Din Basem Hamamra (24 years old), and Amjad Adnan Khaliliyya (23 years old), were killed at dawn by the occupation bullets at the entrance to the town of “Jebaa” south of Jenin, and the third martyr is Yazan Samer al-Ja’bari (19 years old), who also died from the impact. He was shot while storming the town of Kafr Dan to the west.
