Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Brussels, visited the SCK CEN Nuclear Research Center in Mall of Belgium, where he met with the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Center, the Director General of the Center, the Director of Programs, the Director of the Academy, and a number of leaders of the Center, where he was briefed on the areas of work of the Research Center In connection with the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, the center's current and future projects, and the center's educational and training activities.
For his part, the Ambassador indicated our interest in the areas of peaceful use of nuclear energy, especially in the fields of electric power generation, medical, therapeutic, agricultural and industrial fields, as well as our interest in training, capacity building and transfer of expertise, especially in issues of safety and security, crisis management, and emergency response.
It should be noted that the Belgian center is one of the most important centers in the fields of nuclear research in Europe.
