The Forum of Arab Media Leaders Held ...The Lebanese Minister thanks everyone for choosing Beirut as the capital of Arab media

On the sidelines of the activities of the Arab Media Leaders Forum, which kicked off today in Jordan, the Lebanese Minister of Information, Ziad Makari, thanked and appreciated the Arab countries for choosing Beirut as the capital of Arab media for the year 2023.
Makari said - in a speech during the opening session of the Arab Media Leaders Recipient in its eighth session in Jordan - "Lebanon did not come out of its Arab surroundings, because the tree has roots."

He stressed that Beirut does not die after declaring it the capital of Arab media this February, explaining that this confirms the strength of Lebanon's relations with the Arab world.

He stressed the need for joint Arab action, adding, "Lebanon always communicates with our Arab brothers, as I always communicate with the ambassadors of Arab countries accredited to Lebanon."

The work of the Arab Media Leaders Forum in its eighth session, organized by the Arab Media Forum Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Government Communication, kicked off today, Sunday, in Jordan, under the auspices of Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh.

The opening session was attended by the Minister of Government Communication and the official spokesperson for the Jordanian government, Faisal Al-Shboul, deputy of the Prime Minister, the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Head of the Media and Communication Sector, Ahmed Khattabi, a number of ambassadors of countries to Jordan, and a group of Arab media professionals.

Today, Sunday, the forum’s sessions include 3 sessions, where the first session will be held under the title “The Reality and Future of the Media in Light of Changes (Regulating the Media... Between Professionalism and Restriction)… while the second session will be held under the title (Arab Media Crises and Ways to Overcome them… Between Freedom of Practice and Responsibility Profession), while the third session will be under the title (Transformations of the Media Industry between Thought and Application... The Future of Private Media in Light of the Variables of the Media Industry).
