The European Commission announced in Brussels that the Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, will participate in the EGYPS 2023 Strategic Conference; Its activities are scheduled to start on Sunday in Cairo, and according to the visit program announced by the Brussels Commission, the European official will meet with Tariq Al-Mulla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Egypt. A meeting will also be held to implement the tripartite memorandum of understanding on gas with the European Union, Egypt and Israel. She will also deliver a keynote address at the opening of the EGYPS 2023 Strategic Conference; She is participating in a panel discussion "Managing Supply and Demand in Volatile Times - Supporting Global Economies and Energy Security"; As well as a meeting with Osama Mubarez, Secretary General of the Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum (EMGF).
Tomorrow, Sunday, the activities of the sixth session of the Egypt International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (EGYPS 2023) will start, in the presence of a group of energy ministers, government representatives, high-ranking officials of the European Union, secretaries of major international energy organizations, business leaders and investors in the energy sector.
And the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum stated in a statement, according to the Middle East News Agency (MENA), that the activities of the current session will be held during the period from February 12-15 under the slogan (North Africa and the Mediterranean: Supporting global supply and demand for sustainable energy).
Engineer Tarek El-Molla, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, confirmed that the conference comes a few months after the Cop27 climate conference, which enhances the completion of efforts to reduce emissions in the oil and gas industry, which Egypt has supported substantially through its initiative to involve the parties to this industry for the first time in the climate summit in Sharm El-Sheikh on the day To remove carbon.
The conference and exhibition attract more than 32,000 participants, more than 2,000 delegates, 41 international oil and gas companies, 500 exhibitors and 260 speakers.
