The signing of the first security protocol between Iraq and Saudi Arabia since 1983...and a fifth meeting between Iraq and Kuwait to continue dialogue on maritime borders

The Iraqi Interior Minister, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, signed with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Abd al-Aziz bin Saud, a security protocol, the first of its kind since 1983, which includes all forms of security cooperation, exchange of visions, and activation of joint security work to ensure more security for the Iraqi and Saudi sides.
And the Iraqi News Agency (INA) quoted the statement of the Ministry of Interior, that "Al-Shammari signed the security memorandum of understanding with his Saudi counterpart, in the presence of the Saudi side," Deputy Minister of Interior Nasser Abdulaziz Al-Daoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Hisham Abdul Rahman Al-Faleh, Undersecretary for Security Affairs Muhammad Muhanna Al-Minha, and Director of Public Security. Lieutenant General Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Bassami and Saudi Ambassador to Iraq Abdul Aziz bin Khaled Al-Shammari.
On the other hand, the Kuwaiti-Iraqi Joint Technical Committee held its fifth meeting in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. The Kuwaiti side was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Mansour Al-Otaibi, while the Iraqi side was headed by Counselor Dr. Othman Al-Aboudi.
And the Kuwait News Agency stated on Sunday evening that the meeting included the continuation of the joint dialogue in the technical and legal aspects of demarcating the maritime borders beyond the mark (162).
The two sides agreed to continue the constructive dialogue between the two sides within the framework of strengthening the brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries.
