The Syrian National Seismological Center announced that the stations of the national seismic monitoring network recorded 68 weak tremors, all of them less than 4 degrees.
The center stated in a statement, today, Thursday, reported by the Syrian News Agency (SANA) - that the tremors were distributed as follows: 47 tremors in the Iskenderun region, with magnitudes ranging between 1.7 and 3.7 degrees, 3 tremors west of Beirut in the Mediterranean Sea with magnitudes of 4 and 2.1. And 2.4, at a distance of 37 km and 63 km from the city of Beirut, 4 tremors on the Syrian-Turkish border with a magnitude ranging between 2.3 and 2.9 degrees, 14 weak tremors within the Turkish mainland.
The center indicated that the current general situation is a sporadic occurrence of medium tremors, with weak tremors continuing to be recorded.
This comes as the European Union Commission and Sweden, which holds the current rotating presidency of the Union, will host a donors' conference on March 16 in Brussels to mobilize resources and coordinate the response to support Turkey and Syria following the earthquake disaster.
According to Mancher Luis Bueno, a spokesman for the European Union in the Middle East and North Africa, during his tweet on Twitter, participation is available to the member states of the Union, neighboring countries, United Nations member states, financial institutions, and other concerned parties.
