The Maronite Patriarch of Lebanon, Bechara Al-Rahi, called for reaching a political reconciliation in Lebanon in order to restore its natural identity, neutrality, and neutralize it from external conflicts, disputes, and wars, in order for it to be a place for meeting and dialogue between religions and civilizations.
In his Sunday sermon, Al-Rahi considered that "failing to elect a president of the republic is a crime," stressing the need for dialogue impartially and addressing the country's needs internally and externally, adding that "dismantling the state and its constitutional institutions is a crime, neglect and waste of state revenues in administrations, seaports, the airport, and smuggling gates."
Al-Rahi welcomed the rapprochement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran and the restoration of diplomatic relations between them after a six-year hiatus, considering that this estrangement is the nerve of relations and the internal and regional atmosphere in Lebanon and a number of the country.
On the other hand, the Lebanese army announced that the Air Force had conducted live ammunition shooting at Rayak Air Base between the cities of Zahle and Anjar in the Lebanese Bekaa region (east of the country), from today until March 21.
And the Lebanese army stated - in a statement - that the Air Force will conduct air shooting that will include the use of live ammunition by machine gun and missile weapons, between 7:30 in the morning until 2:30 in the afternoon, during the period from tomorrow until the 21st of this month.
It is worth mentioning that Rayak base is the first actual air base in the Lebanese army and the Lebanese Air Force was established in it.
