The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, congratulated the Arab leaders and peoples on the anniversary of the founding of the "House of the Arabs" and their ability to preserve it amid successive global atmospheres and major regional and international challenges.
 
Aboul Gheit added, on his Twitter account, "The League remains the first and most important address for us as Arabs, and the umbrella that brings our countries together for the benefit of the Arab peoples. Whatever the difficulties of reality, it will not prevent us from looking forward to a better tomorrow and a brighter future."
 
Today, Wednesday, the Arab League celebrates the seventy-eighth anniversary of its founding, as it was founded on March 22, 1945, to be one of the oldest international and regional organizations in the world.
