Brussels: Europe and Arabs
Hungary Prime Minister, Victor Urban, revealed today, Friday, the intention of the European Union to discuss again the issue of sending "peacekeepers" to Ukraine.
"It is possible to discuss the European Union member states during the upcoming talks, whether they could send peacekeepers to Ukraine or it is better not to send them."
Urban stressed his country's position that rejects the supply of deadly weapons to Ukraine, noting that Western countries are currently taking place talks to discuss the necessary amount of planes, tanks and shells containing uranium elements with the aim of sending them to Ukraine, unlike the discussions that took place last year that were discussing the possibility of supplying deadly weapons To Kiev.
These developments come at a time when the Foreign Minister and Foreign Economic Relations Hungarian Peter Zigarto warned of the consequences of a direct conflict between NATO NATO and Russia on Ukraine, stressing the need to work and make all possible efforts in this regard.
Since the beginning of the Russian -Russian conflict, Hungary has opposed sanctions on Russian energy resources and sent weapons to Kiev, prompting the parliament in March 2022 a decree prohibiting the supply of weapons to Ukraine from the country's lands.
For his part, Charles III, King of Britain, said during a speech to the German parliament (the Bundestag), as the first British king offered this step, that "the scourge of wars" returned to Europe.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, on his second foreign trip, since his rise to the throne, the British King praised the "vital leadership" shown by Germany and the United Kingdom in helping Ukraine.
King Charles said: "Since the last time I spoke in this building, the scourge of wars returned to Europe, and that left the freedom of man and his dignity was wasted under the feet in the worst possible form."
Charles said that the security of Europe had been threatened, but at the same time he praised a "decisive response" by the United Kingdom and Germany, which showed "vital leadership" in this regard.
King Charles III pointed to a number of cultural ties between the two countries, pointing out that the first Shakespeare Association was not inaugurated in England but rather in the German city of Weimer, and he also indicated that the music of the famous German musician George Frederick Handel will play at a crowning ceremony scheduled for next May.
He also thanked the German people for his "extraordinary sympathy" with the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September. Charles III said his family was "deeply affected".
The British king said that "the cultural ties network is strong as its covenant" between the two countries, adding: "For at least more than 50 years we have sacrificed together - on each other and with each other."
Charles ended his speech with a vision to the future of relations between Germany and Britain, saying that "taking advantage of the past lessons is our holy responsibility." He added: "In the long and important narration of the history of our country, there are many chapters that have not yet been written. Let us fill them with the search for a better tomorrow."
This is the first visit by a British king to Germany since the last official visit made by Queen Elizabeth II in 2015
