The Syrian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Ayman Sousan, stressed the need for the Jeddah Summit to usher in a new phase of joint Arab action, overcoming the past with all the effects that were reflected on the Arab countries and looking forward to the future.
This came in his statements yesterday after the meeting of delegates and senior officials in the city of Jeddah, pointing to the great welcome of the presence of the Syrian delegation in these meetings and that the Syrian participation will constitute a great addition to the joint Arab action, according to the Syrian News Agency (SANA).
Soussan explained that the first session of the meeting of delegates and senior officials in Jeddah ended, during which the draft resolutions on the agenda were discussed, pointing to the endeavor of all Arabs for the work to be unified and lead to the fortification of the Arab position and response to the various challenges facing the Arab nation, in particular the challenge of development and changes on the The international arena, according to what was reported by the Middle East News Agency today, Wednesday
He expressed his hope that this summit would be at the level of the aspirations of the Arab peoples, noting that the topics discussed related to various issues of countries such as Sudan and Libya and the return of the displaced Syrians and other topics.
Regarding the return of the displaced Syrians, the Syrian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that his country has carried out all the consequences of amnesty decrees, national reconciliations and procedures, but that return has requirements, the most important of which is the provision of services in the areas of these citizens, pointing to the importance of the correlation between their return and reconstruction to provide them with a dignified return. And that the countries that practice coercive measures on the Syrian people are the ones that impede the return of the displaced Syrians to their country.
