Today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces intensified their military measures in the occupied city of Jerusalem and its old town, and turned it into a military barracks, under the pretext of securing the provocative "flag march", which settlement associations intend to organize today. In conjunction with this, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed, Thursday morning, the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, with strict protection from the occupation police, while the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the Israeli “Knesset” passing a law banning the raising of the Palestinian flag, in addition to imposing severe penalties on those who do so. , including the suppression of protests, the implementation of arrests and the imposition of prison sentences. According to the Middle East Sons Agency
As for the details, today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces intensified their military measures in the occupied city of Jerusalem and its old town, and turned it into a military barracks, under the pretext of securing the provocative "flag march", which settlement associations intend to organize today, and the occupation authorities sent thousands of police officers to the city. Occupied Jerusalem, military checkpoints were erected on the main roads, and some major axes were closed.
Ministers and Knesset members from the government coalition, led by the extremist Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Jvir, are participating in the provocative march.
The so-called "Temple" organizations and settlement groups had called for the largest storming of Al-Aqsa this morning, ahead of the provocative flag march.
The occupation government insists on directing the settlement's so-called "flag march" according to its plan, by passing through Damascus Gate and the Old City, which confirms its intention to escalate.
The head of the National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, also condemned the racist occupation government's measures against the Palestinian people in the city of Jerusalem, under the pretext of securing the so-called racist "flag march".
For its part, the Palestinian National Council held, in a press statement, the Netanyahu government fully responsible for the repercussions of the provocative so-called "flag march".
He said that the threats made by Netanyahu to kill and assassinate those who try to object or disrupt this march, and to give the green light to his government ministers from Smotrich and Ben Jvir, and rabbis to lead this march, is a provocation to the feelings of Palestinians and Muslims and a slap in the face of the international community that beautifies the image of oppression and criminality of the occupation.
The council added that the flag march is one of the racist war tools waged by the fascist right-wing government, with the aim of expelling the Palestinians, whether from Jerusalem or the rest of the 48 territories, and comes within the plans of Judaizing the city of Jerusalem.
The Council called on the Palestinians within the Green Line and the people of Jerusalem, and in their various places of residence, to set out on a journey and establish a permanent bond to defend and protect the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In conjunction with this, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed, Thursday morning, the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the strict protection of the occupation police.
The former Israeli member of the Knesset, and the extremist Rabbi Yehuda Glick, led the extremists, while the occupation police deployed in the courtyards and at the gates of the mosque, to secure the settlers.
The settlers continue their provocative intrusions in large numbers, some of them wearing priestly clothes while they are barefoot, to perform Talmudic rituals.
This comes as the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the Israeli Knesset's passage of a law banning the raising of the Palestinian flag, in addition to imposing strict penalties on those who do so, including suppressing protests, carrying out arrests, and imposing prison sentences.
And the ministry considered - in a press statement today - that the passage of this law in the preliminary reading is evidence that the system of government in the occupying state is moving at an accelerated pace towards fascism, in implementation of the directives of the fascist and racist ruling right, and that it also falls within the framework of perpetuating "apartheid" as a discriminatory and racist system that targets Palestinian citizens. It deprives them of their most basic human rights, foremost of which is raising the flag that represents their identity, history, cause, and belonging to this land.
The ministry added that the occupation has always chased, shot and pursued the Palestinian flag throughout the previous stages, in flagrant violation of human rights principles and Israel's obligations as an occupying power in occupied Palestine.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said that it "considers very seriously the passage of this law with preliminary reading, and considers it an official Israeli intensification of the open occupation war against the Palestinian people, their presence in the land of their homeland, and their rights approved by international covenants and legitimacy, that war that is based on the official Israeli denial of the existence of the Palestinian people and their rights in the land." his homeland, and his just and legitimate rights in the embodiment of his state on earth.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry believed that the failure of the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the occupation as a racist colonial regime, and its drowning in miserable and abhorrent double standards, encourages the occupying state to persist in implementing more of its expansionist colonial projects and perpetuating the apartheid regime.
The ministry warned of the consequences and repercussions of adopting this law in the Israeli Knesset in the three readings, as it is a dangerous escalation in the arena of conflict, and an official Israeli coup against all efforts exerted to resolve it by peaceful means.
