In conjunction with the Israeli occupation forces’ continued repression and arrests against the Palestinians, settlers continue to repeatedly storm the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, guarded by Israeli security. According to the Middle East News Agency, the Israeli occupation forces arrested today, Thursday, 20 Palestinian citizens from separate areas in the occupied West Bank. Palestinian security sources stated that the majority of the detainees (14 detainees) were arrested from the "Aqabat Jaber" camp in the city of "Jericho", east of the West Bank, after large Israeli forces stormed the camp at dawn, and violent clashes took place, resulting in an injury. 13 other Palestinians were shot with live bullets.
The sources added that a young man was arrested from the town of "Al-Yamoun" in the governorate of "Jenin" in the north, and another from the town of "Beita" in the south of the "Nablus" governorate in the north as well. East of Ramallah, which has been under siege by the occupation for about two weeks.
In the southern West Bank, the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian and his son, from the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, after raiding and searching their house.
Today, Thursday, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupation forces, on the anniversary of the so-called (Torah Revelation Day).
The occupation forces deployed in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa to secure provocative settler incursions and tours, after calling on the alleged "Temple Groups" to carry out mass incursions into Al-Aqsa.
The settlers performed Talmudic rituals at the gates of Al-Aqsa, in addition to dances and chants in front of the gates of Al-Aqsa and in the Old City.
The occupation forces prevented those under fifty years of age from entering Al-Aqsa to perform the evening prayer, yesterday, and the dawn prayer today, Thursday, in a preemptive step to secure the settlers’ incursions, so the people performed the prayer at the gates of Al-Aqsa.
The settlers storm Al-Aqsa, except on Friday and Saturday, in order to divide it temporally and spatially, as is the case in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, since the massacre committed by the Jewish extremist Baruch Goldstein in 1994.
