Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
met dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Brussels, with the Chief of Staff of the Belgian Ministry of Defense, Admiral "Michael Hoffman", in the presence of the Brussels Defense Attaché. The meeting dealt with the distinguished bilateral relations between Egypt and Belgium, which are currently witnessing momentum in all political, economic and security fields. In addition to exchanging assessments about common challenges and threats, Admiral Hoffman stressed the importance of the Egyptian role in enhancing security and stability in the region.
For his part, Dr. Abdel-Aty reviewed the Egyptian efforts in the areas of combating terrorism and illegal immigration. He also stressed the importance of building on the current momentum of bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Belgium, and continuing to strengthen cooperation with Belgium in areas of common interest, especially in matters of mutual interest.
