Algeria - Nablus: Europe and the Arabs - agencies
Two Palestinian citizens were wounded by live bullets, dozens suffocated, and four others were arrested, at dawn today, Friday, during the Israeli occupation forces' raid on the eastern area of Nablus.
Palestinian security sources told the Palestinian News Agency, Wafa, that two civilians were wounded by live bullets, and were subsequently taken to hospital, and dozens of civilians suffocated as a result of inhaling toxic tear gas, during clashes that erupted in Askar camp, east of Nablus.
The same sources added that the occupation forces arrested four citizens during their raid to the east of the city after searching their homes: Amer Al-Masry and Abdullah Bishkar from the popular housing area, and Muhammad Hisham Saad and Radwan Al-Qatanani from the Askar camp. They also searched a number of other citizens' homes in the area.
Algeria condemned in the strongest terms the repeated "barbaric" attacks and acts of intimidation carried out by Israeli settlers with the encouragement and protection of the Israeli occupation authorities against defenseless Palestinian citizens, which led to the fall of many innocent victims and the destruction of their property, calling for the immediate cessation of these heinous acts, which are a flagrant and repeated violation of all International laws and norms.
And according to what was reported by the Middle East News Agency, Algeria renewed - in a statement issued Thursday by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs - its call on the international community to assume its full responsibilities in order to stop the series of dangerous bloody violence and the assault on the Palestinians and their property.
It reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Palestinian people and its firm position in support of it in order to restore all its legitimate and inalienable rights, foremost of which is the establishment of its independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
