Completed 200 relief missions across the border into northwest Syria

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said the United Nations has completed its 200th cross-border mission into northwestern Syria since the first inter-agency visit to Idlib on February 14, following the earthquake earlier that month. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the office added that during the mission that was carried out on Sunday through the Bab al-Salam crossing, WHO staff conducted monitoring visits to health facilities and WHO warehouses in Afrin and Azaz and met with local partners.
The office confirmed that it and its partners continue to provide urgent aid through the Bab al-Salam and al-Rai border crossings.
He stated that 17 trucks loaded with humanitarian shelter materials provided by the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees entered northwestern Syria through Bab al-Salam.
In response to a question at the daily press conference about the use of the Bab al-Hawa crossing under the recently reached understanding with the Syrian government, United Nations spokesman Stephane Dujarric said, "We are still working on the operational details of transporting aid through Bab al-Hawa, and how to implement the understanding."
