European spokesman: We are keen to strengthen relations with neighbors in Africa to achieve digital sovereignty and a fair energy transition

European Union spokesman in North Africa and the Middle East, Louis Pinault, said that the unified bloc is keen to strengthen relations with its neighbors in Africa, noting several steps in which the European Union has contributed to strengthening relations and digital sovereignty, financing the just energy transition program in Africa, and mobilizing two billion euros for this purpose.
Pino said in a tweet on his Twitter account earlier this morning: “We want to strengthen our relations with our African neighbors, and communication is one of the basic areas.” Therefore, the European Union supports the EUR-Africa Gateway Cable, an international submarine fiber cable connecting Europe to Africa. Its aim is to strengthen our relationships and digital sovereignty
Yesterday, Pino wrote on the same website and said: In Europe, we are doing our best to decarbonize our economies, and we want to support our partners to do the same.
The European Union contributes to financing the Just Energy Transition in Africa program, which aims to provide support to our partners to decarbonize the energy mix, and mobilize two billion euros.
