Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
The European Union strongly condemned the terrorist attack that occurred yesterday, Thursday, in Jerusalem, in which at least three Israeli citizens were killed and several others were injured. According to a statement distributed in Brussels by the office of European Union Foreign Policy Coordinator Josep Borrell, in the same statement the European Union also expressed its regret over the shooting death of two Palestinian minors during a military raid in Jenin the previous day.
The European statement concluded by saying, "Incidents such as these show the urgent need to break out of the cycle of violence, terrorism and revenge. The European Union will remain a steadfast supporter of peace and reconciliation in the Middle East, even in its most difficult moments."
