Hungarian State Minister for International Communications and Relations, Zoltan Kovacs, announced that internal political disputes in Ukraine prove once again that Kiev is not eligible to join the European Union. According to what was reported by the Youm7 website in Cairo
Kovacs wrote on the social media network, commenting on the Ukrainian security service’s message: “Hungary does not want to interfere in President Zelensky’s internal political quarrels... These political disagreements also show that today’s Ukraine is not yet ready for European Union membership.”
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban suggested that the issue of starting negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union should not be put on the agenda of the summit in December, because it is clear in advance that there will be no agreement between member states.
Yesterday, Saturday, Ukrainian intelligence recommended to the Ukrainian Parliament not to allow former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to leave the country to prevent him from holding a meeting with Orban.
Poroshenko said last Friday that Ukrainian border guards did not allow him to leave the country, and according to him, he had business meetings planned in Warsaw and Washington.
The former president did not announce plans to meet Orban. Meanwhile, Poroshenko claimed that permission for the business trip was signed by the Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament.
