The voting process in the presidential elections in Egypt begins at nine in the morning today, amid expectations that current President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will serve for a third term, to complete the achievements on the ground that the country has not witnessed for decades, and to continue facing the challenges and threats facing Egypt, the region, and even on the global level, including what is happening in Gaza. During the past few hours, the authorities in Egypt have sought to provide every atmosphere that encourages citizens to come out to cast their vote and exercise their electoral right.
About 67 million Egyptians over the age of 18 are entitled to vote out of a total population of 104 million people.
The voting process begins at nine in the morning and continues until nine in the evening over a period of three days, and the results are scheduled to be announced on December 18.

Egyptians abroad cast their votes at the beginning of this month, and voting inside Egypt takes place from today until December 12, with the results announced on the 18th, with the need for one of the candidates to obtain an absolute majority to avoid a runoff in early next January.
