Israeli occupation forces arrested eight Palestinians and detained several others during raids on several areas in the Hebron governorate on Thursday.
Security sources told the Palestinian news agency WAFA that Israeli occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods in Hebron city and arrested Atta Abu Ramouz, Yaqoub al-Zaarir, Adel Awni Abu Mayaleh, Fadi al-Natsha, Omar Abdul Raouf Abu Asneineh, Hatem Qafisha, and Amjad Ahmed Salhab after raiding their homes, searching them, and ransacking their contents. According to the Cairo-based Youm7 website, the occupation forces also stormed the town of Yatta, south of Hebron, raided a large number of homes, detained several residents, and subjected them to field interrogations in a house they had seized and converted into a military post, before arresting Mohammed al-Najjar.

On the other hand, Israeli Army Radio, citing sources, reported that the General Staff has decided to expand a unit specializing in protecting senior army officers and military delegations abroad. According to the sources, the decision comes in light of a significant increase in the number of officers requiring protection, due to concerns related to Iran and other organizations. According to the European news network Euronews in Brussels, Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. On Wednesday, at least 24 people, including children, were killed in airstrikes and artillery shelling, following the Israeli army's announcement that one of its officers had been wounded by Palestinian gunfire.
The army stated that it targeted three members of the military wings of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, namely the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades and the al-Quds Brigades.
For its part, Hamas, in a statement, considered the Israeli escalation a continuation of the war and an indication of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's attempt to disrupt the second phase of the agreement. In the West Bank, Israeli forces arrested four Palestinians from the Bethlehem governorate on Thursday and closed the entrances to the village of Harmala, east of Bethlehem, with earth mounds. Israeli forces also raided the city of Tubas and the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin. The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the forces entered the town with several military vehicles, detained a number of young men, and assaulted them. Israeli forces also raided the village of Beit Qad, east of Jenin. Security cameras were confiscated from shops and homes on the village's main street. In the northern Jordan Valley, settlers stormed the area surrounding Palestinian homes in Khirbet Samra, where local sources, according to Wafa news agency, reported that they carried out provocative acts and threw stones at livestock pens.
